ABLA Academy (https://campus.learningabla.org) is a project that was co-created by several members of the binational centers' network and was initially funded by the United States State Department.
As a training platform, ABLA Academy creates continuity within the association and positions it as an indispensable participant in promoting collaboration and integration among BNCs. After the successful ABLA Express 2022 event, groundwork was laid, and the importance of implementing ABLA Academy in several phases was agreed upon. The initial phase included a needs assessment, determining how it would be administered, integrating it into an existing platform of the Alianza Cultural Uruguay Estados Unidos, developing ideas for program content, among other tasks.
What can ABLA Academy do for us? ABLA Academy can help fulfill ABLA's mission by empowering binational centers and their personnel to reach their full potential, creating and building harmonious relationships and synergies among BNCs, and aid in achieving ABLA's vision: Recognition as a synergistic, influential, and innovative network by its membership and partners. Additionally, it provides value for its membership.
ABLA Academy will be launched at the ABLA 2023 Convention and will be available for collaborators of all binational centers. Initially, there will be three self-paced courses. Additionally, BNC leaders can propose and add new courses in the following months.
